Obstacles Under Recovery is primarily a private-pay practice. I do accept a limited number of insurance plans on a case-by-case basis ā currently Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareFirst, Cigna, and United Healthcare ā and I accept Loveland Foundation vouchers. If you'd like to use insurance, mention it at your free consultation and we'll see if it's a fit. Many clients choose private pay for the added privacy and flexibility it allows.
Please remember to cancel or reschedule your appointment 24 hours in advance. You will be responsible for the full service rate if the cancellation is less than 24 hours. You will be responsible for a the full service rate if you no-show for your scheduled appointment.

The goal is to get to a place where individuals can effectively and independently manage concerns leading to therapy. As individuals progress in the therapeutic process, session frequency will decrease and abilities will be measured.
No, individual therapy services are available for individuals 20 years of age and older. However, I do work with children in school-based group settings through my wellness education and consulting services. Yes, Confidentiality is a must for me as a therapist. I follow ethical and legal statutes as it relates to client confidentiality. There are only a few reasons I would have to break confidentiality, including harming harming oneself or someone else, and if I am ordered to release information by a judge in a court of law.
